This time it was Tammy Abraham who equalized from close range as the hosts failed to convert a free-kick.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, Milan boss Pioli said: “We have to keep playing like this but the games end in the 95th minute and more attention is needed.
“We conceded two goals from set pieces that we can’t concede. We’re disappointed, we played well and we deserved the win.” When asked about the taste of the defeat, given the results elsewhere, he added: “Bitter. We don’t look at how many points we have at Napoli or haven’t sucked away. “We look at ourselves. That wasn’t the draw that we wanted. Next time we have to do better.” Pioli’s attention will turn to the Coppa Italia on Wednesday when his side host Torino in the round of 16. Their title defense, meanwhile, continues on Saturday with a trip to Lecce unbeaten in five games.
