2022 BMW 530i M Sport with M Performance Parts package in Malaysia – limited to 30 units, RM 421,000

The G30 BMW 5 Series facelift, unveiled last May, is now available with an M Performance Parts package through Auto Bavaria, with both the 530e M Sport and 530i M Sport versions getting the dress-up treatment. The specially equipped 5 Series LCI is a limited edition of just 30 units.

Seen here on the 530i M Sport (which is similar on both models), the package includes a high-gloss black M Performance kidney grille, M Performance carbon fiber mirror covers, M Performance carbon fiber shift paddles and M Performance steering cover elements and M Performance floor mats.

The edition also gets gloss black air duct trim, LED door light projectors, an Advanced Car Eye 2.0 dashcam and some 50th Anniversary M-Bits with M50 Years hubcaps and front/rear emblems. Aside from the disguise items, buyers will also get a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra cell phone, a Sttoke ceramic mug and a free tint with the car.

In terms of price, the 530i M Sport beats with the M Performance Parts package RM420,800while the 530e M Sport plug-in hybrid is priced at with the M Performance Parts package RM362,800. For comparison, the standard price of the 530i M Sport is RM402,800, while the 530e M Sport is RM358,217.

No mechanical changes or performance revisions on either variant – in the 530i the familiar B48 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers 252PS from 5,200-6,500rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1,450-4,800rpm, with power is transmitted to the rear via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

In the 530e, the B48 application delivers 184 hp from 5,000 to 6,500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,350 and 4,000 rpm, with a 50 kW (68 hp) electric motor helping to bring the total system output to 252 hp and 420 Nm increase. like the pre-facelift model.

The additional M Performance Parts kit supplements an M sports package already installed in both vehicles. The latter features larger front air intakes with a U-shaped contour merging into the headlights, as well as a redesigned rear bumper with contrasting gray bumper insert and trapezoidal tailpipes, the exterior is completed by 19-inch Y-spoke style 845 M alloy wheels .

Inside, the M Sport package adds a beefier three-spoke steering wheel, M door sills and M alloy pedals in the standard car, plus power sports seats with driver’s side memory, Dakota leather upholstery, smoke gray aluminum diamond pattern, and black headliner.
