SPAC Translational Development Acquisition Files for IPO

The special purpose acquisition company Translational Development Acquisition Corp. filed a $150 million IPO on Friday.

The company plans to focus on a target business “that makes a positive contribution to human health in healthcare or healthcare-related industries.”

According to Translational Development, its chief executive officer is Michael Hoffman, chairman of Annovis Bio Inc. and founder of Stone Capital Partners. He was also president of several blank check companies, including Northern Genesis Acquisition Corp III, the company added.

Avanindra C. Das, the company’s chief financial officer, previously worked on several SPACs, including Northern Genesis Acquisition Corp III, Translational Development said.

The SPAC said it has applied to list its units on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol TDACU.

ThinkEquity is listed as the underwriter of the offering.
