Both chemists, Amstutz is Chief Technology Officer and leads a NFW team to develop and improve renewable materials. Haverhals, the company’s chief executive officer, spent his childhood years on a farm in Iowa, fueling his desire to create NFW and impact sustainability. “People who grow up on a family farm live in the countryside. You drink the water. You are very aware that where you live and what you do in the environment can affect you,” he said.
