Posted 10:33 – December Corn is down 5 1/4 cents a bushel, November Soybeans are down 6 3/4 cents, December KC Wheat is down 17 1/4 cents, December Chicago Wheat is down 19 1/2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 13 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 115.86 points and crude oil is down $2.61 a barrel in November. The US dollar index is up 0.700 and gold is down $24.40 an ounce in December. As financial markets began to weaken again, this led to more selling in the grain and soybean markets, led lower by wheat. Crude Oil is down over $2.50 as recession talks resume after worse than expected inflation indicators.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 178.34 points and crude oil is down $1.66 a barrel in November. The US dollar index is up 0.500 and gold is down $16.40 an ounce in December. Demand in the soybean complex continues to rise, with two more sales to China and unknown on Friday: 392,000 mt (14.4 mb) to China and 198,000 mt (7.3 mb) to unknown were reported; in addition, 230,000 tons of soybean meal were sold to the Philippines. In the three days ended the week, a total of 59.7 million bushels of beans were sold to China and unknown combined.
Posted at 11:42am – Live cattle down $0.18 in December to $147.75, feed cattle down $1.33 to $174.775 in November, lean hogs down $0.48 to $81.075 in December, corn in December by 6 cents a bushel and soybean meal in December by $2.30. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 250.53 points. Friday’s export data supported the hog complex, but lousy export data sent both live and forage contracts down. Trade has dried up in the bar cattle market and with the packers having run out of bids it is likely that the week’s deal is as good as done.
Posted at 08:37 – Live cattle in December up $0.03 to $147.95, Fodder cattle in November up $0.63 to $175.475, Lean hogs in December up $0.63 to $81.225, Corn in December at 1/4 cent a bushel and soybean meal in December at $4.00. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 210.54 points. Net beef sales of 13,200 tons for 2022 went mainly to Japan (5,300 tons), South Korea (2,900 tons) and Mexico (2,300 tons). The net sales of pork of 29,900 tons went mainly to Mexico (8,100 tons), China (5,900 tons) and Japan (5,300 tons).
