OMAHA (DTN) – March corn fell 2 1/2 cents per bushel, March soybeans fell 9 cents per bushel. May KC wheat fell 6 3/4 cents per bushel, May Chicago wheat fell 6 cents per bushel and May Minneapolis wheat fell 4 3/4 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 158.41 points to 38,405.39, the U.S. dollar index fell 0.010 to 104.07 and crude oil fell $0.08 a barrel to $76.96 in April. Grain and soy markets are under heavy selling pressure early Wednesday due to a correction in strength on Tuesday. There isn't much market-moving news, but the South American weather remains mostly favorable. Due to the declining development of the energy and stock markets, grain is coming under some pressure from external markets.
Posted 08:39 — April live cattle are down $0.23 to $187.1, March feeder cattle are up $0.10 to $251,475, April lean hogs are up $0.18 to 85.85 $ increased, March corn was down 2 1/2 cents per bushel and May soybean meal was down $3.30. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 48.74 points. Trading in the livestock sector is mixed as traders are no longer as optimistic as they were during trading on Tuesday. Asking prices in the south are $184 to $185, but in the north they are not yet set. Trading will likely be delayed until Thursday or Friday.
