We’re officially a third of the way through the 2023 NFL season and it’s already been a wild season, with every team suffering at least one loss and no winless teams. Both the 49ers and Eagles lost their undefeated titles last week with unexpected losses to the Browns and Jets. Will there be any more surprises this week? Luckily, we here at Pickswise have cracked our side and total bets and currently boast a record of 100-84-4 and a profit of +32.2 units. We have ours NFL Week 7 Picks already posted so be sure to check those out. But first, let’s start with my Week 7 NFL Mega Contest at +1211 odds. A quick reminder of that I won the NFL Week 5 Mega Parlay at odds of +1457so let’s celebrate another successful Sunday!
Lions ML (+130)
Giants ML (+130)
Rams -6.5 alternate spread (+148)
NFL Parlay Odds: +1211
In this NFL contest, we’re going with a couple of underdogs on the money line and a favorite on the alternate spread to win by at least a touchdown. With this bet we could get a payout of over 12/1! Let’s disassemble each of the legs.
Detroit Lions ML over Baltimore Ravens (+130)
I described the Lions as a team I liked the look of, as that NFL Week 7 opening lines have been released and I have no reason to change my mind. The Lions have a 5-1 record and have performed excellently in recent weeks. Last week they dominated the Buccaneers, winning 20-6. Next up is Maryland to take on the Ravens, who are returning from London after defeating the Titans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. So far, the teams coming back from London have looked sluggish (the Bills versus the Giants being the most recent example), and I can see Dan Campbell taking advantage of that.
Additionally, the Lions have been excellent against the run this season – allowing the fewest rushing yards in the NFL and therefore should have success shutting down the key component of Baltimore’s running game. Aside from Mark Andrews, the Ravens have really struggled to get a solid passing attack going this season, so I expect they will struggle to put points on the board. At +130 odds, I’m all over Detroit and will take the win on Sunday.

New York Giants ML over Washington Commanders (+130)
Next up in our NFL mega game, we have another underdog on the money line: the Giants must beat the Commanders. I know the Giants are 1-5 and may have to bring people out of the crowd to play offense soon. While this could spell disaster for New York as Washington’s relentless pash rush puts either Daniel Jones or Tyrod Taylor in trouble, I still expect it to be a close game. The Giants defense did a great job of containing the Bills last Sunday and held the Seahawks to under 300 yards rushing a few weeks ago. Even though the Dolphins put up 31 points, they seem capable of doing so and got two interceptions against Tua Tagovailoa. The point is, this defense is improving, and I like their chances of taking on Sam Howell – the second-most sacked quarterback in the league.
As for Washington, this team has been incredibly inconsistent this season, from overtime wins against the Eagles to a loss to the hapless Bears. The Commanders had lost three straight before last week’s win over Atlanta, and even then the Falcons had more than twice as many yards on offense as Washington. I expect this to be an ugly, low-scoring game, and that’s exactly the kind of football I love. Give me a chance to get the Giants to 2-5 and give their home crowd something to cheer about.
We have our best bets between the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants side by side and overall
Los Angeles Rams -6.5 over Pittsburgh Steelers (+148)
To top off this NFL mega game, I expect the Rams to beat the Steelers by at least a touchdown. This, too, might raise some people’s eyebrows, as Pittsburgh is coming off a bye and is coming off a big win over the Ravens (a win that, I might add, helped ignite our mega-contest in… Week 5 of the NFL). However, Baltimore dropped a ton of passes in this game and completely shut down the Steelers’ offense, so Pittsburgh really had no right to win this game. Previously, the Steelers were defeated by the Texans 30-6.
The point is, the visitors have really struggled against top offenses this season, and I expect the Steelers to have their hands full against a Rams team that’s firing on all cylinders. Cooper Kupp is officially back after hauling in seven catches for 148 yards and a touchdown against the Cardinals last week, while Puka Nacua continues to be a key cog in the passing game. The running back situation has taken a huge hit with the departure of Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers, but I trust that Matthew Stafford and Co. will do enough to get the win by at least a touchdown against a sputtering Steelers team, that has posted 17 points or fewer in 3 of their 5 games.
