Taiwanese drug developer Jyong Biotech (JYB) has filed for a $40 million IPO in the United States.
Jyong did not disclose terms in its filing with the SEC, but indicated in its filing fee that the company intends to raise approximately $40 million.
The company hopes to list its shares on the Nasdaq under the symbol JYB. Joseph Stone is acting as Lead Bookrunner.
Jyong is incorporated in the Cayman Islands and conducts business through subsidiaries in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. The Company is focused on developing herbal therapies for urological disorders.
Jyong’s lead drug candidate MCS-2 has completed multiple phase III clinical trials. The company said it must hire an outside statistical team to revise certain clinical data to meet FDA statistical analysis standards before it can seek regulatory approval.
The drug was developed to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia and lower urinary tract symptoms.
