Mainland China companies preparing for an IPO in Hong Kong no longer need to inform their investors about the risks they face in their home country.
The city’s stock exchange on Tuesday lifted a section of its listing rules that previously required companies to disclose risk factors related to China’s political, legal, business and economic environment, its exchange controls and the yuan exchange rate.
Chinese companies are also no longer required to place a statement on the front page of prospectuses warning investors about the differences between the legal systems and regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong and mainland China.
