This surge in investor enthusiasm suggests the social media giant is on track to reach its targeted $6.5 billion valuation.
The IPO, priced in New York on Wednesday, is expected to be priced at $31 to $34 per share, although that doesn't guarantee a solid stock market debut.
The company revised down its valuation targets from the $10 billion mark set during a private funding round in 2021 and aimed to raise $748 million through the IPO.
Despite its solid user base, Reddit has suffered annual financial losses since its founding in 2005. It has struggled to keep up with the commercial success of rivals like Facebook and Meta Platforms' X.
