Harriet Torry
Wall Street Journal reporter Harriet Torry was selected to cover the western U.S. economy for the newspaper.
She will be based in Houston.
Torry reported on the U.S. economy with a focus on consumers from the Washington, DC office.
She previously covered the Federal Reserve. Torry joined the Journal in Frankfurt in 2010 as a financial reporter before moving to Berlin to cover the German government and economy during the Eurozone sovereign debt crisis.
She has been with the newspaper for 14 years and previously worked at Deutsche Welle.
