NOVATO, CA – The city of Novato is working with a merchant group to launch a new initiative to encourage residents to shop locally.
The City and Shop Local Novato emphasize the importance of visiting local shops to Novato’s economy.
The initiative includes digital gift cards, which the city is calling “Novato Note$.”
The “Note$” can be purchased here.
“With this card, you can write a personal message and send it to family, friends and co-workers via email, text message or physical copy,” city officials said.
“Recipients can choose to spend it at one of a growing number of participating Novato companies – or mix and match and have the flexibility to spend at multiple locations.
“Novato Note$ is all digital and always available on your phone. It’s great for birthdays, holidays, teacher appreciation, coach gifts, or just to show your appreciation to a friend. Now you can give back to the community while They celebrate Father’s Day and graduations in June.”
