3 September (Reuters) – Pakistan’s Finance Minister Miftah Ismail expects the economy to grow more than 3.5% for the fiscal year that started in July, Bloomberg News reported on Saturday.
Ismail forecast inflation, which is at its highest level in 47 years and the second highest in Asia, is near its peak and will average 15% for the year, the report said.
Restrictions on luxury goods could remain in place longer than currently expected, Ismail was quoted as saying.
