“Nas Daily found itself in the right place at the right time and in the right format. Today we have over 60 million followers in 13 different languages across six social media platforms. Needless to say, the bet on the creator economy paid off,” said Nuseir Yassin, CEO and founder of Nas, during the Mind the Tech conference in New York on Thursday.
“I think the next six years will be the most exciting six years in human history. It will usher in a new kind of content and new kinds of everything. What is happening now is that social media is losing the word social. It becomes media, it becomes like television. So I see another chance coming. Social media becomes television and then you will witness the rise of community platforms. The reason I bet on community platforms is because they make the human connection. That’s what we call the community economy, and I think that’s going to be a lot bigger than the creator economy.”
