A year ago, Arizonans sent Joe Biden and Senator Mark Kelly to Washington with a clear mandate to fix the economy battered by the coronavirus pandemic. They went to work immediately and passed the American bailout plan, and a year later we’re still seeing the benefits. Thanks to the leadership of Senator Kelly and President Biden, the economy has created more than 7 million jobs nationwide, $8.5 billion in relief checks have gone to 3.2 million Arizona residents, and 1.5 million Arizona children have been supported helped by the Child Tax Credit, not to mention the businesses that have been able to keep their doors open and their lights on. Recovering from the pandemic hasn’t been easy and we’re not over the hill yet, but it’s worth looking back at how far we’ve come. I’m grateful to have leaders like Senator Kelly and President Biden in Arizona’s corner, and I know brighter days are ahead.
