Biden on Saturday tried to convince some members of that community that he has done things that benefit them — and that he hears their concerns. “Your generation is not ignored, not shunned, not silenced,” he said during an inaugural address at Howard University in Washington, DC

The president used a phrase — “Because of you” — several times during part of his remarks to convey to students at the historically black research university that he needs their support again in 2024.

“With your votes and votes, I was able to fulfill my pledge to bring the first black woman to the Supreme Court of the United States of America,” he said. “Thanks to you, more black women have been appointed to the federal circuit courts… than under any other president in American history — combined.”

“And by the way, I’m serious. I mean it. because of you. because of you. You managed. you have spoken You knew. “They showed up and the votes counted,” Biden added. “They feel the promise and the danger of climate change.” Thanks to you, we’re making the largest investment ever in climate change.
