The country recorded average growth of 4.5 percent over three years
As the country struggled almost exclusively to contain the COVID-19 epidemic over the past three years, China’s economy has grown at a compound annual growth rate of 4.5 percent, faster than the world average.
In 2020, the nation became the first major economy to record growth. The following year, GDP rose to 114 trillion yuan ($16.54 trillion). And last year, despite the enormous pressure from COVID-19, the economy was still able to grow.
