‘You played like heroes’: Celebrities cheer on the Men in Green after World Cup semi-final loss – Celebrity

Social media is full of love and praise for the Pakistani cricket team despite losing to Australia in the semi-final at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Lots of people on social media praised the team’s spectacular performance throughout the tournament. Our celebrities are also proud of the men and ask them to hold their heads high and come home as heroes.

Australian Matthew Wade dashed Pakistan’s hopes of reaching the T20 World Cup final by beating Shaheen Afridi three straight sixes in the penultimate game and leading his team to a five-wicket win in Dubai on Thursday. While Mohammad Rizwan, 67, and Fakhar Zaman, 55, helped Pakistan hit an impressive 176-4 in the first innings, Wade’s power hit crossed Australia with an over to 177-5. Pakistan had their chance but Hasan Ali dropped a regular catch from left-handed Wade in the middle of the wicket just before Afridi was hit for three sixes.

Celebrities like Fakhr-e-Alam, Asim Azhar and Ali Zafar posted on social media to praise the team despite the defeat.

Actor Mehwish Hayat posted a video from the Dubai Stadium saying loudly and clearly that whether they win or lose, the men in green are loved no matter what.

The author Fatima Bhutto was also full of praise for the team.

Likewise the actors Osman Khalid Butt, Fahad Mustafa and Armeena Khan.

Former cricketer Shahid Afridi praised the men’s “great fight”.

Actor Adnan Malik praised the team’s performance as well as the camaraderie of cricket Shoaib Mailk towards Hassan Ali.

Actor Ushna Shah reminded everyone that Hassan Ali, like all the other players, did his best and deserves everyone’s kindness.

For singer Natasha Noorani he is “still a king”.

The T20 World Cup has been quite a journey for Pakistan. From participating as an underdog to leaving the tournament as one of the best teams in the game, the groundbreaking Game 11 definitely gave the nation a lot to be proud of. Well done!
