Well, thanks to an online interactive map we can now see the most searched for celebrities or public figures from any city in South Essex.
The map links place names to their most searched public figure on Wikipedia.
It spans a wide spectrum of celebrities, with 18th-century poets and wrestling champions among its highlights.
The connection between the place and the celebrity ranges from their place of birth, their current place of residence or a connection.
Produced by The Pudding, an online publication that debates culture in visual essays, the map covers villages, towns and parishes across the UK.
The map features the most famous names from each part of Southend, Castle Point and Rochford
Rachel Riley, who was born in Rochford but grew up in Thorpe Bay and attended Southend High School for girls, is the most wanted celebrity in both Rochford and Southend.
While Hollywood superstar Dame Helen Mirren was the most searched celebrity with ties to Westcliff.
The 76-year-old actor is a former student at St. Bernard’s High School.
Basildon, Canvey and Rayleigh
Unsurprisingly, two cult music icons make up the next list, with Basildon’s Vince Clarke of Depeche Mode and Wilko Johnson Canvey’s Doctor feel-good rock star making the cut.
Wickford and Rayleigh MP Mark Francois is the only sitting South Essex politician on the map.
And former X Factor star-turned-TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal checks in as Corringham’s most searched celebrity.

The pudding card states: “Person/city associations were based on thousands of “People by city or town” pages on Wikipedia.
“The top person from each city was determined by median page views (with at least 1 year of traffic).
“We chose to include multiple occurrences for a single person because there is no way to determine which is more accurate and because people can ‘come’ from multiple locations.”
