We love to criticize people, especially celebrity bodies online.
One of the downsides of social media is the amount of privilege and access it gives us to people’s lives. We’re now brave enough to say the meanest things behind the darkness of our phone’s keypad.
Here’s why it has to stop;
You could be struggling with mental and physical illnesses
Many celebrities like Selena Gomez And Ariana Grande have spoken about how they are struggling with various mental and physical challenges, hence their weight gain or loss. People made nasty comments about her so they had to speak up.
Similarly, Black Panther Star, Chadwick Boseman battled cancer while people made fun of him for being skinny.
Such bullying can affect their mental health
How would you feel if thousands made fun of you? I don’t need a fortune teller to say you wouldn’t like this. Sometimes we think celebrities are immune to injury, but they’re not.
an american celebrity, Anya Taylor Joy recently said she doesn’t look in mirrors because she’s been trolled so many times online.
You might have body dysmorphia
When we see someone doing a lot of plastic surgery, we need to learn how to stop making unsolicited comments or calling them plastic. Most of the time they are incredibly uncomfortable in their natural body and plastic surgery makes them feel better.
It is none of your business
That’s the most important part of it, whatever someone does with their body or how it’s shaped is none of your business.
