Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce decline Met Gala invitations and here’s why

Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce have decided to skip the highly anticipated one I met Gala, choosing to pass on the glitz and glamor of fashion's biggest night. According to sources with direct knowledge, both the Grammy winner and the NFL superstar declined their individual invitations to the star-studded event.

“That’s a no from me,” Taylor and Travis said as they answered “no” to the celebrity night out. One of the reasons for Taylor's absence is her upcoming “Eras” tour, which begins the same week as the Met Gala in Paris. As rehearsals and preparations for her tour are underway, it's understandable why she won't be able to grace the red carpet at the prestigious event.

As for Travis, the reason for his decision remains unclear. However, it is safe to assume that his decision to decline the invitation could be influenced by Taylor's absence.

Although their relationship was public, the duo had yet to appear together at premieres or events like the Met Gala. The closest they came to a public appearance was when they attended Madonna's Oscars after-party and kept a low profile when they arrived.

Her absence from the Met Gala is causing a stir

Despite her absence in the I met Gala, Taylor and Travis haven't shied away from attending high-profile events together. They were spotted front and center at Coachella Weekend 1, where they were seen cuddling during Ice Spice's performance and supporting Taylor's frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff as he performed with his band Bleachers.

Even though the couple may be absent from the Met Gala, the event will still be graced by a host of A-listers. This year's co-chairs include Zendaya, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Jennifer Lopez, ensuring the evening won't be lacking in star power.

Amidst a parade of well-dressed celebrities at the Met Gala, Taylor and Travis decide to skip the event. As they say in Hollywood, “Let them eat cake.”
