Attorney Ampaw speaks out against indecent dressing

Lawyer Ampaw calls on celebrities to be good role models

The Ghanaian lawyer calls celebrities

Attorney Maurice Ampaw has argued that some of the country’s celebrities have a negative impact on youth because of their lewd lifestyles, which have misled many.

The concerned lawyer, in an interview with GhanaWeb reporter Paulina Dedaa Opoku, mentioned that celebrities who were expected to be good role models have now led the youth into prostitution, rape and other crimes.

He added that there has been a sharp rise in indecent exposure by celebrities.

The youth who look up to these superstars are now copying blindly.

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has therefore called for changes by appealing to the public to speak out against indecent disclosures, particularly from figures with a large following.

“They should be good role models, they should influence the youth positively. There are many issues that the country is facing where they can play their role in promoting decency, education and youth development.

“They expose our youth to immoral behavior and indecency, they encourage crime. Once these photos are released, encourage youth to engage in rape, defilement and prostitution. We have to worry, everyone should worry. Any sane Ghanaian should be concerned about this trend,” he told GhanaWeb.

Attorney Ampaw made the statement on the back of a half-naked dress worn by actress Efia Odo to the Kwesi Arthur album launch.
