Over the years, many famous faces have embarked on the 13.1 mile route from Newcastle to South Shields, cheered on by the crowds streaming through the streets of Tyneside.
From soap stars to footballers (who can forget about Kevin Keegan in his half Newcastle, half Sunderland jersey) and pop stars to politicians, the Great North Run has seen a whole host of celebrities.
We did our best to photograph as many famous faces as possible at this year’s Great North Run.
