See The Tributes – Hollywood Life

Stars paid tribute to the famous musician after he was found dead in his hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, hours before the Foo Fighters were scheduled to perform at a festival.

Celebrities mourn the loss of the Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. The 50-year-old musician was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Bogota, Colombia on Friday (March 25) during a South American tour with the rock band, their frontman – and Taylor’s best friend Dave Grohl. Miley Cyrus took to her Instagram to announce that she would be dedicating her next concert to the late rock star, while Travis Barker shared a heartbreaking throwback photo of his band Blink-182 hanging out with Taylor and other Foo Fighter members.

I’m lost for words. Sad to write this or never see you again,” Travis captioned another snap of Taylor. “I’ll never forget the days in Laguna Beach when I was a garbage man who played in a punk rock band and you played in it Alanis [Morissette]. You’d come to watch me play in bars and say, “Boy, you’re a star.” And I thought you were crazy, but you gave me so much hope and determination.”

Details on how Taylor died were few, though the band said in a statement Friday his death was a “tragic and untimely loss.” The Foo Fighters were scheduled to play a festival in Bogota on Friday night. Taylor’s last appearance with the band was at a concert in San Isidro, Argentina on Sunday (March 20).

Meanwhile, tributes kept pouring in for Taylor after the sad news broke, with Ozzy Osbourne tweeted: “@TaylorHawkins was truly a great person and a great musician. My heart, love and condolences go out to his wife, children, family, band and fans. We’ll see you on the other side.” LeAnn Rimes wrote: “DAMN to hear from our friend and neighbor Taylor Hawkins. Incredulous, like everyone else. He was one of my favorite people.” And Josh Brolin simply shared a photo of Taylor with the caption “No” and added a crying emoji.

So heartbroken to hear of Taylor Hawkins’ passing, what an incredible talent that didn’t have to be so kind and generous and cool but was all of those things. The world was so fortunate to have his gifts for the time it had, rest in peace
