SAG-AFTRA Strike Begins in New York and L.A. With Celebrities, Signs and Chants: ‘Logan Roy Would Pay Us More’

During a press conference on Thursday, the SAG-AFTRA leadership announced that the union was going on strike, and picketing began on Friday. In New York, the four locations HBO/Amazon, Warner Bros. Discovery/Netflix HQ, Paramount and NBC Universal were announced. 8 locations have been announced in Los Angeles including Warner Bros., Amazon/Culver Studios, Fox, Paramount, Netflix, Sunset/Gower, Disney and Sony.

On the first day of the joint SAG-AFTRA-WGA picket line, corporate greed was the focus of the messages.

When the bus carrying SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher and the rest of the negotiating committee arrived in front of the Netflix offices, they were mobbed by members of the media and other protesters as they inch their way down the sidewalk along Sunset Boulevard.

Tatiana Zappardino, a regular on the series Tulsa King and also appearing on This Is Us and NCIS: New Orleans, showed up at the Netflix picket line with her one-month-old daughter.
