A reporter who stunned in a floor-length gold gown at last night’s Met Gala has gone viral on social media, with many claiming she looks “better” than the celebrities in attendance.
Celebrities were commissioned to interpret the Gilded Glamor theme at the benefit event on behalf of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, including Kim Kardashian and Blake Lively.
Defending beauty pageant champion Genesis Camila Suero took to the red carpet in New York to cover Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo on “fashion’s biggest night”.
Wearing a mesmerizing gold dress by fashion designer Lucia Rodriguez, Genesis made an impressive impression on fans as many took to social media to claim she was the “best dressed” person at the event.

Genesis Suero, who was born in the Dominican Republic, wore her beautiful black hair in a topknot while accessorizing her intricate gown with simple teardrop earrings.
Genesis was crowned Miss New York 2018 while studying business at Hostos Community College.
She began entering beauty pageants after working as a skincare specialist in Bloomingdales.
“I remember I was watching TV in the Dominican Republic in 2002 and I saw one of the Miss Universe contestants and I said that’s what I want to do. I want to be. It’s going to be my career,” Genesis told the New York Post.

She’s completed grueling boot camps and run the New York City Marathon to maintain her enviable figure.
In 2021, Genesis became a finalist on Univision’s reality show Nuestra Belleza Latina.
She gushed about the opportunity to attend the much-anticipated Met Gala for her 67,000 Instagram followers, saying, “Grateful for all the opportunities that have been presented to me.
“I am blessed beyond measure with all those who made this magical moment a reality. Grateful for all the opportunities that have been presented to me.”

Though viewers were divided on whether Kim Kardashian, Blake Lively, or Gigi Hadid looked best on the red carpet, many fans argued in Genesis’ favor, claiming that the reporter “got the job” and had an outfit better suited to the 1870s to 1900s theme fitted.
In a now viral tweet, one person wrote: “She’s just a reporter? Yall we have a Cinderella situation here because this girl just met Gala.
Another commented, “PLEASE she got the job done better than half the celebrity guests.”
“She’s beautiful and actually follows the theme unlike the invited celebrities,” said a third.

Others claimed Genesis wore the best outfit they’ve ever seen at the Met Gala, and one said, “It’s crazy that this reporter had a better outfit than half the millionaire celebrities there. As if she had eaten whole.’
