Priscilla Presley keeps a low profile at celebrity hotspot… as she grieves daughter death

Still in mourning at the sudden and tragic loss of her beloved daughter, Priscilla Presley has kept her public appearances to a minimum following the January 12 death of Lisa Marie Presley.

On Saturday, the former wife of Elvis Presley did her best to keep a low profile at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood, an out-of-the-way hotel and hangout that’s been popular with celebrities over the years.

The actress and co-founder of Elvis Presley Enterprises, the company that helped make Graceland one of the top tourist attractions in the US, has managed to maintain some anonymity by wearing a black protective mask over the lower half of the face.

But her striking red locks are a giveaway to some people who know her or are familiar with her long and checkered history as Elvis Presley’s former wife.

Near the front door, the New York native appeared to strike up a conversation with a man who either recognized her or was someone she knew.

Anyway, the man had a big smile on his face during their brief conversation at the front and back doors of the place.

After their conversation, Presley continued on her way outside, passing a line of people and hotel guests who ignored her.

On the day, Presley opted for an all-black ensemble consisting of pants, matching top, jacket, and boots.

The 77-year-old New York native also carried a sleek black handbag and had her tresses dyed red flows long, several inches down her shoulders with a part on the left.

The Sunset Marquis is a haven of sorts for people looking for a relaxed atmosphere while still enjoying the convenience of a hotel.

It has now been a little over two months since Lisa Marie Presley went into cardiac arrest on January 12 around 10-30am at her home in the Calabasas neighborhood of Los Angeles.

EMTs were able to get her heart working again by performing CPR while driving to West Hills Hospital, but she died later in the day at the age of 54.

Lisa Marie, who was a singer-songwriter with three studio albums between 2003 and 2012, had attended the 80th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles with her mother just two days before her death.

The mother-daughter duo made it a point to attend the awards ceremony in support of Baz Luhrmann’s acclaimed Elvis (2022) biopic, in which Austin Butler played the legendary King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley.

During her walk down the event’s red carpet, Lisa Marie appeared frail and fragile, prompting her to lean on her for long periods of time Family friend, Jerry Schilling, who is now 81 years old.

While being interviewed by Billy Bush for Extra, she crossed her arms with Schilling and told him, “I’ll grab your arm.”

Both ladies were very open and honest and praised Luhrmann’s biopic which focused on Elvis’ 20+ year relationship with his manager Col. Tom Parker and Butler’s performance as Elvis.

Ten days after her death, hundreds of people attended a public memorial service at Graceland in Memphis on Jan. 22. and more than 1.5 million people also watched the service via live stream.

Lisa Marie was buried in Graceland Meditation Garden next to her son Benjamin and next to her father Elvis.

An insider tells TMZ that the singer had gone on an extreme weight-loss regimen, undergoing plastic surgery and taking weight-loss medication, which resulted in her losing 40 to 50 pounds in the six weeks leading up to the Golden Globes.

Family sources also told the publication that she has returned to opioids, a drug she has struggled with in her past.

Lisa Marie was the only child of Priscilla and Elvis, who were married from 1967 to 1972 but remained friends until the legendary rocker’s death in August 1977.
