The 20-year-old is a social media star and one of the highest-rated college athletes in the US, worth $3.1 million.
Whether it’s posts about their summer vacation or their preparations for the LSU gymnastics season, Dunne‘s followers can’t seem to get enough of her.
As for PhelpsThe now 38-year-old is widely considered the greatest Olympian of all time. With 23 Olympic gold medals and 33 World Championship medals, Phelps was a dominant force in the pool during his career.
Even though Phelps has had a remarkable swimming career, he can’t seem to keep up with Dunne when it comes to Instagram followers.
While Dunne has 4.4 million followers on the platform, Phelps is behind with one million, or 3.4 million.
Dunne was shocked when she was told she had more followers
During a recent meeting with Sports Illustrated, Dunne was asked if she or Phelps had more Instagram followers.
“Michael Phelps. Absolutely,” Dunne replied confidently.
When the 20-year-old was told she was wrong, she was shocked.
“No way, no way. This is crazy,” she added.
