A Selected celebrities, Nollywood stars, film critics and students previewed the award-winning film Strangers last Thursday at Genesis Cinemas, Maryland Mall, Lagos.
Among those attending the screening were executive producer Banji Adesanmi; Director, Biodun Stephen; popular actor and cast member of the film, Lateef Adedimeji as well as Chris Iheuwa and Taiwo Ibikunle; Journalists and students of the Doregos Private Academy.
Inspired by real events and set as a true story of resilience, hope and heroism, Strangers hits theaters Friday, April 29th.

According to Executive Producer Banji Adesanmi, Strangers has already won a gold award for directing at the recent International Independent Film Awards held in Los Angeles.
The film tells the life story of a remote village boy, untamed by civilization but beset by catastrophic events that changed the course of his existence. Strangers is a first-person narrative, an emotional and inspirational story superbly performed by a cast of actors who have proven their acting skills. These include Lateef Adedimeji, Bimbo Oshin, Bolaji Ogunmola, Debbie Felix, Femi Adebayo, Ndamo Damarise, Chris Iheuwa, Jide Kosoko, Bimbo Akintola, Mide Glover and Nonso Odogwu, among others.
Though Strangers is a thoughtful film, it’s brightened by the characters’ comic synergies, sending waves of intermittent laughter through the theater. In fact, the film is a classic example of storytelling in its raw form. From a rich blend of indigenous culture, colorful transitions from one decade to another and character morphology, the director was able to create a narrative that evokes a sensual nostalgia in viewers’ minds.
“I was inspired to bring the story into play because of the resilience of the characters involved in the real-life events. Strangers chronicles a series of desperate events with wondrous consequences. It’s a story sweet to hear. I decided to turn it into a screenplay and teamed up with notables who could translate it into a compelling film. The international recognition for the film is a testament to that,” said Adesanmi
