One of Canada’s biggest pop culture celebrations is taking place in Montreal this summer and has just announced its first guest of honor.
Montreal Comiccon will take place from July 14th to 16th, 2023 at the Palais de congrès.
Tens of thousands of comic book fans, geeks and cosplayers will gather for the 13th annual event, which will feature Christina Ricci as this year’s first guest of honor.
Ricci currently stars as Marilyn Thornhill on Netflix’s Wednesday and Misty Quigley on Yellowjackets. The legendary actor also starred Wednesday in the 1991 film The Addams Family and then again in the 1993 sequel Addams Family Values.

Other celebrity guests at Montreal Comiccon 2023 include:

Fans of the popular CW series Smallville will also be able to meet and hear from members of the cast including Laura Vandervoort, Kristin Kreuk, Erica Durance, Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling.
Montreal Comiccon is a fan convention showcasing artists and products across entertainment genres such as sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming (in all its forms) and of course bande dessinée and manga.

The expo features a range of exhibits including celebrities, artists, film and/or television set pieces, as well as a comprehensive shopping experience that includes games, clothing, comics, toys, memorabilia, replicas and collectibles.
Another exciting highlight of this year’s event is the debut performance of L’Orchestre d’anime de Montréal (OAM), an 18-piece ensemble with a passion for Japanese pop culture. Also on Sunday, look forward to Kira Kira START’s Idol Showcase and the Tabletop Gaming Zone presented by Asmodee Canada.
