A group of celebrities embark on the trip of a lifetime as new reality competition series ‘Stars on Mars’ hits national TV.
The new FOX show premieres Monday, June 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET and will be hosted by Star Trek actor William Shatner.
Stars on Mars will feature a wide range of recognizable faces, from Super Bowl-winning NFL veterans to movie actors.
The network described the details of the competition in a press release:
Adventurous celebrities are preparing for launch to the Red Planet, where they will live, eat, sleep, strategize and socialize in the same space station.
During their stay, they’ll be confronted with authentic conditions simulating life on Mars, and they’ll need to use their wits and brawn — or perhaps just outstanding social skills — to outlast the competition and claim the title of Brightest Star of the galaxy”. The celebrities take part in missions and vote each week to eliminate one of their crew members and send them back to Earth.
