You can’t swing a cat on a tree-lined street in one of the most desirable ZIP codes in all of Los Angeles without coming across a lavishly appointed home owned or rented by a show business maniac. And in upscale Encino, the semi-suburban enclave in the San Fernando Valley that’s long been a favorite with celebs, a gated $6.4 million mansion has been home to many.

The celebrity-loved home is now owned by Canadian musician and real estate investor Betty Moon, who purchased the property with her late husband for $3.54 million nearly a decade ago. According to tax records, it was occupied at various times by Lebron James, Cardi B, Megan Fox, and Machine Gun Kelly. It has also been featured in films and television shows such as Lethal Weapon and NCIS: Los Angeles.

Originally built in 1960 and since then extensively upgraded and modernized, the Mediterranean style residence sits on over half an acre of landscaped grounds. Aside from the ornate curved iron gates and driveway that winds around a three-tiered fountain, the home is filled with living and entertaining spaces, including a double-height living room with fireplace and a double-height formal dining room.

The family room, with built-in media center and bar, has glass doors leading to the backyard, and the eat-in kitchen has modern stainless steel appliances and a huge island with integrated snack bar. Elsewhere there is a card/snooker room, a 12 seat home cinema, a library/office and a gym.

The spacious bedrooms include an expansive master suite with a double-sided fireplace between the living room and bedroom, a walk-in closet and an oversized marble bathroom with built-in closet for bath linens and toiletries.

The spacious grounds with more than 40 different types of fruit trees provide for all sorts of bells and whistles. In the terraced backyard, in addition to the swimming pool and spillover spa, is an awning-shaded outdoor kitchen and bar. On an upper terrace is an open-air gazebo surrounded by lush greenery and flowering plants, and on the top terrace – Pickleball fans beware – there is a playing field bordered by a stone balustrade.

Moon’s Southern California properties include multi-million dollar homes in Pacific Palisades, Beverly Hills and Malibu. According to the New York Post, she owns Cary Grant’s former home in Holmby Hills, which she recently rented out for $35,000 a month, and Isaac Tigrett, co-founder of the Hard Rock Café and House of Blues franchises, rents one of her Malibu -Estate.

The Encino property is listed on Compass along with Sally Forster Jones and Tomer Fridman.
