People celebrate his birthday as a reason for reviving the river, an issue dear to Sadhguru
Political leaders, celebrities and people from different fields wished the yogi, mystic and visionary Sadhguru happy birthday on September 3rd. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri. Basavaraj Bommai, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri. Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, Smt Shobha Karandlaje, Former Prime Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri. Kamal Nath and many other central ministers, various ministers of state and political figures wished Sadhguru.

Sadhguru established the Isha Foundation 30 years ago which is dedicated to raising human consciousness and aims to create physical, mental and spiritual well-being for all. Statistics say that more than 100 million people follow his lectures.
He is the recipient of India’s second highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, for his contributions to social welfare. Many people have benefited from his vision of social programs such as Action for Rural Rejuvenation and Isha Vidya Rural Schools, which provide quality education to disadvantaged rural children. Project Green Hands, Rally for Rivers, Cauvery Calling and Save Soil Movement have addressed environmental concerns, while Farmer Producer Organizations and Isha Agro Movement address farmers’ social and economic development.
Under his leadership, Project Green Hands set the Guinness World Record for planting the highest number of trees in one day. With the Rally for Rivers, Sadhguru led the largest mass awareness journey across India to revitalize rivers and recently embarked on a 100-day 30,000km solo bike ride across 27 nations for the Save Soil movement. Under his leadership, the Save Soil movement reached over 3.91 billion people with more than 80 nations pledged to work to save the soil.
