Jungkook, Song Kang, RM: Celebrities who will soon be entering military service

There is a lot of interest in South Korean celebrities joining military service. Recently, four members of BTS, actors Song Kang and Hong Sa Bin and EXO's Sehun, have confirmed their commitment in the coming months. As we find ourselves in the last month of 2023, take a look at celebrities who will soon be signing up for the mandatory church service.

Song Kang

Born on April 23, 1994, Song Kang is 29 years old and has confirmed that he will soon begin his military training. At the press conference for “Sweet Home 2”, the actor revealed that this series will be his last project before he enlists for mandatory military service. In addition to “Sweet Home 2,” Song Kang also delights fans with his title role in “My Demon.”

​BTS – RM, Junkook, Jimin & V

After much speculation, BigHit confirmed that RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will begin their military service this month. While RM and V will begin their service on December 11, Jimin and Jungkook will begin their service on December 12, 2023. According to reports, RM and V will join the Nonsan Army Training Center. Jimin and Jungkook will begin their mandatory service at the Army's 5th Infantry Division Training Center.

​Hong Sa Bin

After winning the Best New Actor award at the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards for his role in “Hopeless,” Hong Sa Bin announced that he will be entering military service. It is reported that Hong Sa Bin will enlist in the military on December 19th. In a statement, his agency confirmed that his military service was now over: “From the standpoint of the actor and our agency, we have been very concerned about when to enlist.” It seemed like he shouldn't put it off any longer and there was a feeling that perhaps it would be better for him to leave now and come back quickly, so the decision was made that way.”

​EXO's Sehun

EXO's Sehun was born on April 12, 1994 and is about to enter the military. During a recent interaction, he hinted at the same and shared a special message with fans: “Maybe we'll see each other next time two years later.” Since conscription lasts about 18 to 20 months, it's expected that EXO's Sehun will be heading to the military soon Military service will occur. However, an official announcement regarding this is awaited.
