Jason Lee celebrated his birthday with his high profile friends by his side.
The Jason Lee Show host, who turned 46 on Wednesday, kicked off another year around the sun on Sunday with “The Jason Lee Experience Birthday Party” at the Eden Sunset in Hollywood, California.
Lee shared on his Instagram Sunday a series of photos he took on the red carpet before heading to the event, with the caption, “WHAT A NIGHT!” Get ready to be lavished with sex appeal by the #JASONLEEEXPERIENCE too become!”

There he celebrated with Floyd Mayweather and Cardi B in the VIP area. The 30-year-old “Jealousy” rapper was also spotted on the dance floor towards the end of the night when Tiffany Haddish performed.
On his Instagram Stories, Lee posted a clip of him smiling next to Cardi as she jammed to her own song, “Tomorrow 2.” He also attached a video where he can be seen speaking into Mayweather’s ear while the 46-year-old boxer and promoter took a sip of his drink.

The Hollywood Unlocked founder spoke exclusively to PEOPLE at the event and revealed his only birthday wish, which actually came true.
“Rihanna and I literally texted all day on my birthday,” Lee told PEOPLE. “I said, ‘On my birthday, I just want to follow you on Instagram.’ And she followed me. I haven’t told anyone this, but I’ve been wanting to brag all day.”
Speaking about when the “Diamonds” singer finally accepted his friend request, he added, “Rihanna follows me and all the whores on the internet said she unfollowed me. She hasn’t followed me before, but I asked her to follow me and she did.”
The podcast host and author went on to explain, “The real lesson in anything is don’t be afraid to ask for what you want,” adding, “The lesson of my whole life is, no matter where you start has, that’s not it.” where you’ll end up.
He continued to reflect on how everything that happened to him in his life shaped him into who he is today.
“Even in the despair, the despair, the loss, the abandonment, all these bad things that made me feel alone, I realized that when you get through this, you know you weren’t alone,” she said he. “And that gives you the strength to continue to find that faith and to continue to face whatever lies ahead.”
Lee also shared a message to PEOPLE for those in attendance at his birthday celebration: “I am blessed and appreciate everyone who came to celebrate my life tonight. I love you and I appreciate you.”
