Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell has accused Meghan Markle of “taking advantage of people” after the Duchess got into a heated argument with the Beckhams.
Broadcaster and commentator Emily Carver says there could be good news for Meghan Markle and her political ambitions. “Apparently Joe Biden’s activist sister supports her as a candidate for the next president,” Ms Carver told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “Meghan’s ambitions may still be intact.”
Paul Burrell was Diana’s butler and confidante for a decade from 1987 until her death in August 1997.
Although the former butler is believed to have never met the Duchess of Sussex, Mr Burrell had strong views on Meghan’s dealings with her celebrity friends.
“[Meghan]will use people and drop them when she’s done with them,” Mr Burrell told GB News on Monday.
“The Beckhams don’t need Harry and Meghan, they’re A-listers in their field, they don’t need them.”

Although the Beckhams attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018, it’s believed the two couples are no longer friends after Meghan allegedly accused the power couple of leaking stories.
The Sussexes’ claims reportedly made David “absolutely furious”, leading to a heated phone call between him and Harry that ended the friendship.
TalkTV Royal Editor Sarah Hewson said the Beckhams had been “marked”.
“They were cut off the same way Meghan cut off her father and her former best friend Jessica Mulroney,” she said.

Mr Burell also believes the couple’s celebrity friends like the Beckhams, the Clooneys and Priyanka Chopra-Jonas are cutting their ties with the couple.
“They’re starting to see who the real Harry and Meghan are, and they don’t want to be in the same space,” he said.
Although Mr Burrell worked in the royal bosom for a decade up until Princess Diana’s death, he was scathingly criticized by the Duke of Sussex in his best-selling memoir Spare for misusing his time at work for Diana.
“Mummy’s former butler wrote an investigative report that actually said nothing. It was just one man’s self-defeating, egocentric version of events,” the prince wrote.

“He took advantage of her disappearance for money. It got my blood boiling,” Harry added.
In February, Mr Burrell hit back at the “tempting prince”, claiming Harry would probably have married “a young aristocratic lady” had Diana survived.
“This is my theory: when he lost his mother at the age of 11, he was lost, in the wilderness, completely lost, until he met a 36-year-old mature woman who whispered in his ear that you were changing the world wanted. He didn’t hear Meghan’s voice, he heard his mother’s voice,” he told Slingo.
“I have always said that the monarchy and our royal family lead very privileged lives (and) the price they pay for it is public service.”
