New Delhi: Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have reportedly been dating for quite some time now. The two starred together in the 2019 film Dear Comrade and fans have been speculating about the chemistry between the two for ages.
Although the rumored couple insisted that they were “just friends”, Rashmika opened up about her relationship with the actor in a We Are Yuvaa interview.
Rashmika mentioned her co-stars Allu Arjun, Sidharth Malhotra, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan, but her comment about Vijay caught everyone's interest.
“Viju and I grew up together, so to speak. So he contributes to everything I'm doing in my life right now,” she said, adding that she takes his advice very seriously: “I follow his advice in everything I do, I need his opinion.” He's not a yes person. He's on point. That's good…that's not good…that's what I think…that's what I don't think. He has supported me personally more than anyone else in my entire life. “So I feel like he’s someone that I really, really respect,” she told the publication.
Recently, in an interview with Lifestyle Asia, Vijay denied rumors that he and Rashmika got engaged in February.
“I will neither be getting engaged nor married in February. It feels like the press wants to marry me every two years. I hear this rumor every year. They just walk around waiting to catch me and marry me,” he said.
A source close to the actors told Hindustan Times, “Well, there is no truth in all these claims. They are very private people. So far, they haven't gone public with their romance and have left some clues that are making people wonder about their bond. The suggestion that they would make a big reveal and get engaged is false because that is so unlike their personalities.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rashmika Mandanna has several films lined up for release. These include Pushpa 2, Rainbow, The Girlfriend and an untitled film starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Jim Sarbh in Telugu. Rashmika also has Chaava with Vicky Kaushal in the pipeline.
