From Priyanka Chopra To Aryan Khan, Celebrities Who Have Faced Backlash For Launching Exorbitant Product Lines

Bollywood celebrities enjoy a huge following around the world. So, from what they wear to the items the individuals buy, fans are always curious to buy the products they choose.

However, when these celebrities encourage their creativity and their choices and launch their product lines, people go crazy about it. They create sensational hype and often set the purchasing bar so high that it is beyond the pocket of a middle-class household, thus seeking a backlash from society.

Over the years many celebrities have launched their product lines where some have sought success while others have faced ridiculous amounts of recklessness for selling their products at high prices that have absolutely no value.

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son Aryan Khan entered the market with a dream and launched his clothing brand “DYAVOL IX” which went live on Sunday. Since then, however, netizens have exploded across the web as the plain t-shirts and jackets available on the site start at 24,000 and go as high as 2 lakhs.

Deepika Padukone also made headlines when she launched her own Ayurvedic skincare brand 82E and was brutally scammed for selling super expensive products that weren’t effective at all. The site only had 4 items priced between 5k and 10k with small packaging that was worthless to consumers to invest in.

This isn’t the first time, however, that celebrities have faced massive criticism for shopping for super-expensive products, where Priyanka Chopra has also been slammed for charging outrageously expensive products for her home brand Sona, where her tablecloths sold for 30,000 , which went up to 50k in value.

On the other hand, several Bollywood celebrities are firmly gripping the market with their cost-effective product lines. Katrina Kaif’s Kay Beauty is adored by consumers in the Indian market and her lip kits and kohl shades are a hit in the market. With a variety of makeup items, the range of products is affordable, which delights audiences.

Alia Bhatt also has her line of maternity and children’s clothing which is valued for its sheer and comfortable fit, with the products being sold at a reasonable price. Her children’s line was launched by her a few years ago, where last year the actress added maternity choices, finding inspiration and living her journey.

One super hit brand that has been the favorite of many for years is Hrithik Roshan’s fitness brand “HRX”, which covers a large segment of the market to fit the bill and also has many branches.

Several other celebrities have been trolled for their steep price tag, including Gauri Khan for selling Rs 15,000 worth of bins to table lamps and wooden sculptures in lakhs. Sonakshi Sinha’s nail extension brand was also trolled for selling stick-on nails for 800+ that were single use.
