F1 drivers play football against team of celebrities in Monaco

In the week before the Monaco GP weekend, a charity football match is traditionally held in the Principality. Also this year, the National Football Team of Drivers will be in action at the World Stars Football Match 2023.

F1 drivers enter soccer field

This year the charity event is taking place for the 30th time. The World Stars Football Match takes place on the Tuesday night before the Monaco GP and is a match between the drivers team and Star Team MC at Louis II Stadium. Max Verstappen will not be there this year but other F1 drivers will be on the field.

When are the Formula 1 sessions for the Monaco Grand Prix?

The most famous names are: Stefano Domenicali, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, Fernando Alonso, Pierre Gasly, Giancarlo Fisichella, Antonio Giovinazzi and Jorge Lorenzo. This year there are more than 30 participants. Among the opposing riders, 22-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic is the biggest name.
