Chris Rock‘s new stand-up comedy special, “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage”, streamed live Netflix on March 4th. The show, held in Baltimore, marked the first time the streaming giant had aired a live stand-up concert.
The comedian addressed the incident, where Will Smith beat him at the Oscars last year. After dealing with the hypocrisy of “awakened” corporations, the attention economy, the January 6th riot, Meghan Markle, the Kardashiansabortion and Elon Musk‘s body, Rock talked about the elephant in the room for ten minutes.

“You all know what happened to me. I got beat by Suge Smith,” he noted. “Everybody knows. Everybody fucking knows… I got hit by that motherf**** at the Oscars and people are like, ‘Did it hurt?’ It still hurts! ‘Summertime’ is ringing in my ears!”
Rock continued, “But I’m not a victim baby. You’ll never see me cry on Oprah or Gayle. You’ll never see It will never happen. No. Fuck Pacquiao, motherf****. I took it like Motherfu*** Pacquiao, okay? shit man Did it hurt? Yes, motherf***. It hurts.”
Rock describes Smith as inconsistent with the Cancel culture
Rock further described Smith as a “selective outrage” and accused him of being inconsistent in the break-up culture. Then he talked about the virus Conversation at the Red Table interview where Jada Pinkett-Smith spoke to her husband about her affair with the singer August Alsina.
Rock was not involved in this affair and was dissatisfied with Smith’s subsequent actions. “And for people who don’t know… Will Smith’s wife fucked her son’s friend. Well, I wouldn’t normally talk about this shit, but for some reason these n****s are pulling this shit onto the internet. I have no idea why two talented people would do something so low. What the hell? We’ve all been scammed – everyone here has been scammed – none of us have been interviewed by this person that scammed us on TV. None of us! ‘Hey, I sucked someone else’s cock. How did that make you feel?'”
Rock questioned why Smith would take his anger out on him if he had nothing to do with the affair. Rock then described how the Smiths were angry at him for making a joke while hosting the Oscars in 2016. The Smiths boycotted the Oscars and urged Rock to do the same.
Rock described Smith giving a rambling, surreal acceptance speech later that night when he won Oscar for Best Actor for King Richardwhile Rock had to deal with the aftermath of being beaten by Smith earlier in the night.
Rock concluded by saying he was not a victim and never will be. He said he took the punch like a man and refused to play the victim. The stand-up show was well-received by audiences and praised for its scathing commentary on modern culture.
