CHICAGO— Many family members and some celebrities were in attendance at the United Center for the retirement of Chris Chelios' No. 7 jersey on Sunday, and some also took their turn on the ice.
Chelios' youngest daughter Tara, supermodel Cindy Crawford, former Chicago Blackhawks president Theo Epstein and singer/songwriter Eddie Vedder all participated in Shoot the Puck during the second intermission of the Chicago Blackhawks' game against the Detroit Red Wings.
Crawford, who the game's announcer said had not held a hockey stick before Sunday, missed her first two chances to “score on one of the three openings with a goalie cutout.” However, her third attempt ended in 5 holes and the audience cheered in approval.
