All of these celebrities have (or had) homes in Sarasota.

I’ve already told you about celebrities residing in Naples and this got me thinking. If we have so many celebrities with homes in Naples, how many celebrities have homes elsewhere in the Sunshine State? Next on the list, let’s take a look at the Sarasota area.

Let’s face it, with Florida home prices, it would take someone with celebrity money to afford some of these outrageous deals.

There is currently a property for sale in Naples listed at over $200 million! Yes you’ve read correctly.

Sure, there are plenty of athletes who live in places like Jacksonville, Tampa, and Miami, but what about other celebs? Sure, some here have homes that they’ve kept private, but here’s who we’ve found with ties to Sarasota.

Three Southwest Florida locations have made Yelp’s new list of the 100 Best Florida Restaurants

Yelp is here with a new list. They ranked the top 100 Florida restaurants of 2023 and Southwest Florida has 3 on the list. All in all, Fort Myers, Naples and Fort Myers Beach made the list. It’s actually quite incredible given that the Fort Myers beachfront restaurant that made the list only recently reopened after Hurricane Ian. It’s a nice nod to the amazing strides they’ve made in getting things working again.

The Yelp listing is “based on our community’s ratings and reviews.” So after eating at one of these restaurants, someone feels empowered enough from the experience to go online and express it. We’ll be coming to the top 10 Florida restaurants shortly, let’s see how our places compare to the rest of the state on Yelp’s list of the top 100 Florida restaurants.

At number 57 is Uncle Rico’s Pizza in Fort Myers. You can find her at 2960 Cleveland Avenue, south of the Lee Memorial. Yelp reviewers can’t stop raving about this place. More than one person called their cake “perfect”. That’s what I want in a pizzeria. Pepperoni knots, homemade pizzas and Jamaican beef patties are a must. According to their Insta, they will reopen on Friday. Expect a crowd.
