One can’t talk about celebrities wearing Khaite – the cult New York label designed by Catherine Holstein – without mentioning Katie Holmes’ cashmere bra digan ‘Moment’ in 2019. It was one of the most outstanding celebrity street style looks of all time.
From that viral paparazzi snap, we noticed that every A-lister was choosing Khaite for their everyday appearances (and red carpet moments), and fashion’s favorite under-the-radar New York brand was beginning to take off globally.
Established in 2016, Khaite is the epitome of downtown cool. It’s quiet luxury with a twist, loved by influencers and fashion editors alike. Unlike some designer brands who cover their collections in Lairy logos, Khaite is far more subtle. Holstein’s designs look (and feel) luxe, yet exude a relaxed ease. They’re still special enough to work for fancy events and be just right for the moment, but still manage to transcend trends. It’s fashion magic – even if the price is at investment level.

The knitwear is particularly lush and the denim has that perfect distressed look that takes years to perfect. As one of the key brands driving the mesh shoe trend, Khaite was also one of the first designers to bring back cowboy boots with its now iconic Dallas style. They also did zebra prints in 2019, waaaaaay before everyone else did.

You’d think this was just the musing of a Khaite-obsessed fashion director. But you’re only half right, because Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Beyoncé, Sofia Richie, Hailey Bieber, and Kendall Jenner all agree that Khaite is beyond cool. And this little roll call is just a handful of celebrity names to wear khaite in the summer. (Katie Holmes is still a loyal fan, too.)
So who are the celebrities who wear khaite? And what pieces are they wearing?
