Most celebrities are staying mum in the courtroom showdown between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard amid their ongoing libel trial, but a select few have chosen sides.
Perhaps the majority are too tired to take the public heat — like Drew Barrymore did when she “taken lightly” about the allegations on her talk show and then had to back down.
“It’s like one layer of madness — it’s a seven layer dip of insanity,” the Never Been Kissed star previously said of the case on The Drew Barrymore Show.
Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 36, over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed she wrote describing herself as a victim of sexual violence.
Though the Aquaman star didn’t name the Pirates of the Caribbean star in the play, it was written several years after she accused him of molestation in a 2016 restraining order.
Now that both actors have taken the stand in a courthouse in Fairfax County, Virginia, more stars are speaking out about who they believe just weeks before the jury will weigh their decision.

Chris Rock took to the stage during the UK leg of his Ego Death world tour on May 12 and reportedly discussed Depp’s claims that Heard left feces on his bed.
According to British digital publisher LADBible, the comic told the crowd, “Believe all women, believe all women… except Amber Heard…”
He then added – apparently believing Depp’s claims – “What the hell is she? She s–s in his bed! She’s fine, but she’s not fine.”
Heard has denied defecating on her ex’s bed.

Ireland Baldwin called Heard a “terrible person” in an Instagram Story during the trial.
“The thing is, I know women who are just like that,” Alec Baldwin’s eldest child said in late April.
“They’re manipulative and cold and they use their femininity to play victim and turn the world against man because we live in a society where it’s cool to say men are the worst and blah blah f-kity.” blah.”

Joe Rogan condemned Heard on his popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, saying she was a “crazy woman” and her allegations were “not true.”
“I’m watching this process, and it’s a cautionary tale about believing in cops, forming a narrative in your head like, ‘We are rebels together,'” he told his millions of listeners.
“People who are just manipulative and full of that? [Comedian] Doug Stanhope knows them. Stanhope’s pal with Johnny Depp. He wrote something like … like a little essay about how shitty she is and she threatened to sue him and I think he ended up taking it back.”
Burr said he’s a self-proclaimed dork superfan.Getty Images
Bill Burr admitted in early May that he didn’t necessarily watch the Depp Heard trial because he’s “too big a Johnny Depp fan” to see it, but said he thinks people should tune in apologize to the Edward Scissorhands star if Heard loses.
“From what I’ve seen, the guy is destroying,” the comedian, 52, said, according to Mediate on the Monday Morning Podcast.
“And the great thing about it is if he’s really exposing that woman to the lie, I wonder. All these people who, you know, just accepted their lies about him if they wanted to apologize in any way.”
Aniston has yet to comment on Depp or Heard in relation to the trial.WireImage
Aniston’s support for Depp was more subtle than others, taking to social media to quietly side with him.
According to RadarOnline, the 53-year-old Friends star began following Depp after the process had already begun, and the Black Mass star reportedly returned the gesture recently.

Stern appeared to side with Heard on his radio show.GC images
Not that many celebrities have come to Heard’s defense, but Howard Stern didn’t hold back from blasting Depp for his “overdoing it” during the trial.
The legendary radio host said on his SiriusXM show in late April: “The reason he wanted to watch this – he wanted it to be televised [because] that’s what narcissists do.”
“I think Johnny Depp is a huge narcissist and what I mean by that is — he was like, ‘I’m going to put this on TV and because I’m so persuasive and so smart, I’m such a wonderful guy.'”
Stern continued, “When he’s not acting — I mean, he exaggerates so much because he’s writing his own material on the side. You know, I have to tell you, he’s wrong. He shouldn’t be doing this on TV in any form.”
Barkin will testify for the defense in the coming weeks.WireImage
Ellen Barkin will show her support for Heard where it matters most – in court.
The 68-year-old “Big Easy” actress will testify on behalf of Heard after she previously claimed Depp abused her on their date.
Barkin also made a statement in Depp’s 2020 trial against The Sun, claiming the actor once threw a bottle of wine over a hotel room and became jealous and angry.
However, Depp claimed his ex held a grudge and her allegations were “untrue”.
Barkin and Depp briefly dated in 1994.
