Celebrities Choose Sides Between Amber Heard And Johnny Depp

actor Johnny Depp and ex-wife belongs to amber weren’t in the headlines that much last week. The court will reconvene Monday, May 16 to hear Heard cross-examine her on the witness stand. The trial has been adjourned due to a prior promise from the judge.

The pair have been facing each other in Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia for a little over two weeks. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is suing his ex-wife for $50 million over an op-ed Heard wrote for the Washington Post in December 2018 in which she alleges she is a domestic violence survivor. Though she didn’t mention Depp by name, he claims he lost film roles due to the “clear implication” that he was the Aquaman actress’ abuser. Heard is filing a $100 million counterclaim.

Many fans have participated in the process, but also celebrities. Although some celebrities have endorsed Heard, many more celebrities have thrown their support behind Depp … at least publicly.

It seems like there are only two big names supporting Amber Heard and it’s one of them Howard Stern.

As The Blast previously reported, according to The Wrap, Stern called Depp a “narcissist” and said that Depp wanted the trial to be televised because narcissists “think they can talk their way out of anything.”

“On the narcissism scale, I think Johnny Depp is a huge narcissist — and what I mean by that is he was like, ‘I’m going to put this on TV. And because I’m so persuasive and smart and such a wonderful guy,'” Stern said.

He continued, “That’s what narcissists do: ‘I’m going to blow America’s pants off at trial.’ No you will not. It’s not going to go well,” he warned. “It’s not going well for you, it’s not going well for her. Nobody is fine. You sound like two children fighting. It just comes off very badly.”

Another celebrity who is clearly on Heard’s side is Ellen Barkins. Barkin is scheduled to testify shortly after Heard completes her cross-examination.

The Big Easy actress previously testified for Heard in Depp’s high-profile trial against British tabloid The Sun in 2020, which he lost.

Barkin and Depp previously dated in 1994. She supported Heard’s abuse testimony, testifying that Depp also abused her when they were dating. At the 2020 trial, Barkin alleged that Depp once threw a bottle of wine across a hotel room and said he could get jealous and angry.

On May 12th Chris Rock has blasted Amber Heard over allegations she left her feces in his bed after an argument.

During his “Ego Death” world tour in the UK, Rock reportedly told the crowd, “Believe all women, believe all women… except Amber Heard.”

Though Heard appeared to say it was dog poo, Depp had stood by and insisted he could tell the difference and felt it was definitely human. It seems Rock Depp thinks so, as he later added: “What the hell is she? She is in his bed. She’s fine, but she’s not fine.”

Joe Rogan-InstagramSpotify

late last month, Joe Rogan competed against Heard on “The Joe Rogan Experience” and called Heard a “crazy lady”.

“I’m watching this process and it’s a cautionary tale about believing in Taurus — and forming a narrative in your head like ‘We are rebels together,'” Rogan said.

“But that’s what happens with people like that,” Rogan said on his podcast Tuesday night. “People who are just manipulative and full of s— like that? [Comedian] Doug Stanhope knows them. Stanhope’s pal with Johnny Depp. He wrote something like…like a little essay about how full of s— she is, and she threatened to sue him, and I think he ended up taking it back.”

“He knows her well,” Rogan claimed. “He says, ‘She’s crazy.’ Like a crazy actress.”

“The only good thing is that now everyone knows … something is wrong [Amber Heard],” he continued. “That’s a big win for Johnny Depp and a big loss for Pirates of the Caribbean. You got rid of the best damn pirate you’ve ever had. For a crazy woman.”

comedian Bill Burr also came out against Amber Heard. He claims he’s “too big a Johnny Depp” fan to see the trial, but said Depp “fucking destroyed” Heard in the trial.

“And the great thing about it is, is he really exposing that woman for lying, I wonder — all these people who, you know, just accepted their lies about him when they kind of apologize for publicly trashing them.” got him,” he continued, adding that it would be “nice” if people “would apologize publicly and say, ‘Maybe next time we won’t jump to conclusions.'”

“It really amazes me that the pendulum just doesn’t seem to be swinging the other way,” Burr continued. “That all of these women’s groups when they see a woman lying like that it really hurts their position because there are women out there that are in a relationship where that woman has obviously lied and claimed that she’s in a relationship was, though she wasn’t.”

“And if someone goes out and lies about it, it hurts the people who are actually in it. So you would think they would cover that,” he added. “I think it really hurts feminism if they want more men to come along.”

“If that’s really going along with everything she said was absolute crap — … It just doesn’t seem right, and you know what? It doesn’t sit well with me,” Burr said of Heard’s claims. “It sounds like Johnny would do that [win]what makes me happy.”

It wasn’t just men who supported Depp. Ireland Baldwinthe eldest daughter of the actor Alec BaldwinDuring the trial at the end of April, he described Heard as a “terrible person” in an Instagram story.

“The thing is, I know women who are just like that,” she said. “They’re manipulative and cold and they use their femininity to play victim and turn the world against man because we live in a society where it’s cool to say men are the worst and blah blah f— ity blah.”

Though Depp clearly has more public support from celebrities, there’s no telling how this process will ultimately end.
