Celebrities are increasingly suffering heart attacks; reasons may leave you baffled

Stand-up comedian Raju Srivastava, who suffers a heart attack while working out at a gym, has forced many to ponder why celebrities are increasingly going into cardiac arrest.

Recently, Kannada film industry superstar Puneeth Rajkumar, 47, TV actor Sidhharth Shukla, 40, and singer KK, 53, died from heart attacks.

Now the questions are why do celebrities fall victim to heart attacks and what are the reasons that make them more vulnerable?

Is it their excessive exercise in gyms to keep them fit and healthy that is to blame for their susceptibility to heart attacks? Many think so.

Comedian Raju suffered a heart attack while working out at a gym. Now he is being treated at AIIMS in Delhi. The same had happened to Puneeth Rajkumar. While working out at the gym that morning, he went into cardiac arrest. Although he was immediately taken to the hospital, he could not be saved.

According to the Cardiology Society of India, every minute a heart attack kills one between the ages of 35 and 50 in India. 25 percent of all people who die from heart failure fall under the age group of 35 years or younger.

It used to be said that older people were more prone to heart attacks. But this idea no longer holds, as young people fall victim to it.

According to some health experts, it’s prolonged exercise that has made teens more susceptible to heart attacks. Nowadays a common practice can be seen among youngsters. In order to have an attractive hero figure, they spend more time in gyms.

You don’t stop here. They also take different types of steroids to get the desired result. This is where they make mistakes.

Taking steroids can prove deadly, health experts have warned.

A recent survey found that 30,000 people who go to the gym use steroids, and what surprises many is that 73 percent of them fall under the 16-35 age group.
