New Delhi: When Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in the men’s javelin final at the prestigious IAAF World Championships in Eugene, several Bollywood stars took to their social media channels to share their congratulations.
Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram handle and posted a story that included a picture of Neeraj holding the Indian flag.
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also shared an Insta Story which read, “Congratulations to @Neeraj_Chopra who made history again by winning a silver medal at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon, USA. Absolutely brilliant.”
Kangana Ranaut congratulated Neeraj Chopra on her stories by sharing a video of him throwing the javelin, writing, “The unstoppable @neeraj_chopra…Pride of India.”
Actor Rajkumar Rao wrote: “Another one for the land of champions @neeraj_chopra. congratulations brother”
Bhumi Pednekar also posted an Instagram Story with Neeraj Chopra’s picture and an applauding hand emoji.
At the IAAF World Championships in Eugene, Neeraj Chopra’s fourth attempt in the men’s javelin final was 88.13 m, securing second place.
Neeraj was also India’s first track and field athlete to win the silver medal at the World Championships and second to claim a podium finish after legendary long jumper Anju Bobby George finished third at the 2003 Paris World Championships.
