Pakistan commemorates the victims of the militant attack when Taliban attackers stormed the Army Public School in the northern city of Peshawar seven years ago.
Today marks the eighth anniversary of the Army Public School massacre that claimed the lives of 147 people, including 132 students.
December 16 is known as “Black Day” in the South Asian country.
And Pakistani celebrities have now taken to social media to pay respects to the victims of the attack. Needless to say, the memory of the day of the country’s darkest times is heartbreaking.
Adnan Siddiqui, Kubra Khan, Sami Khan, Reema Khan, Hira Mani, Faysal Quraishi, Sana Javed and Sumbul Iqbal Khan took to social media to pay homage to the victims of the horrific terrorist attack.
To classify Pakistan as a “terrorist state” is to insult the countless Pakistanis who have paid the price for the US-led wars and radicalized terrorism that has seeped onto our soil. Today 8 years have passed since one of the most painful examples. #apsattack – we will never forget that.

The deadly attack unleashed waves of shock, outrage, anger and, most importantly, pain, not only across the country but around the world. Governments condemned the attacks; Celebrities expressed their support for the grieving families and even the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda declared: “Our hearts are breaking with pain”.
The deadly attack claimed by outlaw Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was a major national tragedy; The losses of the martyrs’ parents and relatives are beyond repair, but the whole nation stood by those affected and Pakistan never lost sight of its national resolve to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism to prevent such heinous crimes against its citizens and protect itself from it to protect.
