Harper’s Bazaar made a splashy return to the New York Fashion Week scene, hosting its annual Icons Party on September 9 at Bloomingdale’s flagship store on 59th Street. The star-studded soirée, which also celebrated the retailer’s 150th anniversary, closed the first official day of fashion week in style, which was attended by famous celebrities in droves.
Lori Harvey wowed audiences in a bold Christian Cowan ensemble. Consisting of a revealing micro crop top and a voluminous high waisted velvet maxi skirt in pink, it had all the hallmarks of a look to remember. Other stars who have opted for color include Shay Mitchell in a feathered mini dress by The Attico; Sabrina Carpenter in a light blue crop top and column skirt; Ashley Graham in dark purple velvet Di Petsa breakup; and Drew Barrymore in black and white Ralph Lauren tailoring, finished with a bright pink Christopher John Rogers coat.
Meanwhile, Dove Cameron advocated sporty motor gear, arriving in a cream armor-like top from Balmain’s Fall 2022 collection. The star was hard to miss in the futuristic garment, which shares an aesthetic similar to that seen on other Parisian runways, such as B. Dior, last season. Cameron balanced the edge with a silky beige mermaid skirt.
Julia Fox, on the other hand, stuck to the neutral theme but went the all-clothes route in Joanna Prazmo. She sent shockwaves down the carpet in a saran wrap design that looked like wax and was accented with metal hardware. Her matching clutch bag and plastic-wrapped pumps were intriguing accessories, though they’re no surprise given the star’s eccentric looks.
