In gastronomic terms, Berkshire is not one of the heavyweights among the sights that will tingle your taste buds.
But on the county’s 470 square kilometers you will find culinary delights full of charm while enjoying the view of the Thames.
People often visit Tripadvisor or other review sites to choose their next restaurant while being aware that not all positive reviews can be as honest as one might hope.

While not a gourmet experience, Raheem Sterling, a star from England and Manchester City, was spotted picking up delicious fried chicken at the Slough takeaway.
In December 2020, the English ace was pictured outside Chicken Delite after buying chicken and burger box dinners for two homeless women.
Wasib Arif, who runs the diner, told The Sun at the time: “Raheem asked me about a few women who were begging outside. He wondered if they were there the whole time.
“He then asked if he could buy them food as he would rather do that than give them money for drugs or alcohol. I said, ‘You can do that’. “
Sterling reportedly bought a 10-bed property near Slough for his mother, Nadine Clarke, after moving to City in 2015 with a £ 44 million deal.
Chicken Delite offers an inexpensive meal for £ 4.49 as well as chicken, fish and bean burger dishes, while its “blackish sauce” has also been praised across the Atlantic.

While technically not in Berkshire, it’s a hop, skip and a jump across the border in the Hampshire village of Minley.
The vegetarian and vegan pub is owned by the independent group Barons Pub Company and caught the attention of Tom Hardy in 2017 when the Hollywood star tried some sausages and porridge.
Ashleigh Clark, who served Taboo star Hardy his lunch, told SurreyLive, “It’s actually pretty funny because the whole time he was eating he wasn’t recognized.
“Then, as he was leaving, one of my colleagues spotted him and got all the attention.
“Employees and customers got pictures, they couldn’t believe it.
“I served him at the bar and he was very down to earth and talkative. We had a joke because he kept yawning and then sat down.
“Then I served him his sausage and porridge and his friend a bacon and a cheeseburger. They were very friendly to everything. “
If you want to go for Hardy’s pick, it will cost you £ 12.50, while there are other pub favorites like ham, egg and fries (£ 12.50) and scampi (£ 13.95) too.
